How will I know the progress of the investigation if it gets assigned to R. Bauer & Associates?
The scope of the assignment and your needs will be discussed in full detail, prior to starting any investigation, to ensure that you have a complete understanding of the services that will be provided for you. All investigation timetables will be discussed then. If you have specific contacting needs we would be glad to grant your request.

How can I look up a license plate that was parked in front of my fianc?es home?
Unless you have an ongoing file or prior relationship with Bauer Risk Management, our professionalism and the welfare and safety of the general public prohibits us from doing random database verifications.

What happens if my boyfriend goes into a restaurant or bar? Can you obtain video of the person they are with?
Yes. Every investigator on our staff carries at least one covert pinhole camera application with them at all times. Our office supplies numerous covert applications for various types of situations. If video documentation is available, our investigators are trained to follow the highest moral, ethical and legal standards, so you can view as much of the activity as possible. We have obtained stellar video on hundreds of files where the use of covert video was necessary.

Can we record what my wife is discussing with the person she is talking to?
It is against the law in most states to record someone's conversation without the individuals "expressed or written consent" or without having a warrant. Although laws vary state by state, we suggest not utilizing audio. As we obtain leads, we will keep you advised of our findings.

I saw on a major network another investigative agency and their surveillance mini van. I think my husband would be alerted with that kind of van. Do you have any other types of vehicles for my surveillance?
We take great pride in our state-of the-art equipment and vehicles. We have a full fleet of surveillance vehicles, including conversion vans, sport utility vehicles, cars and motorcycles that will allow our investigators to remain discreet and covert while on your assignment. Our vehicles and staff blend into any location, metropolitan to rural.

What happens to my file after the investigation is concluded?
All original reports are stored at our company owned facility. This facility is only accessible to Bauer Risk Management owner and management. Files are kept free of charge for over ten years. If you would like, an additional copy of your report can be forwarded to you or your legal counsel.

Will I receive the unused portion of my retainer back?
The retainer is only used by Bauer Risk Management to cover any additional time incurred during your investigation or surveillance needs. If our professional investigators obtain the information you need in two hours, then your bill would reflect two hours, customary office charges and any additional expenses incurred. The remainder of your retainer, minus our bill, will be returned to you in full.

My husband carries a gun that he is not licensed to carry. Are your investigators allowed to carry weapons on the assignments?
If you ever feel in danger for your safety or for the safety of loved ones, contact the proper authority immediately. Although the private investigators mystique offers a difference in opinion, Bauer Risk Management strictly prohibits the unauthorized concealment of any weapon or firearm.

My husband and I live in Gary, Indiana in a predominantly ethnic area. Do you have an investigator that will remain inconspicuous during this investigation?
